Is there a reason the SDA Church has found itself filled with Silver-Tongued Ministers attempting to reduce Ellen White to an old, out of touch, out of date relic from Adventist's past. Actually there are several reasons, but none stands out more than what is found in "Christ Object Lessons page 69!" The observant Reader will know immediately what we are referring to after reading the following:

So there it is!! The above is the REAL reason we have very eloquent Ministers openly attacking Ellen White and the Spirit of Prophecy! This Author has Relatives and Friends attending Churches Pastored by these Silver-Tongued Orators. People throughout Adventism are attending Adventist Churches pastored by ministers that have a hidden agenda. These ministers know human nature and the fact that if you redicule the Spirit of Prophecy Smooth enough, humans tend to want the easy road. People don't like restrictions. These ministers know that if they are clever enough, they can build Mega Churches by quietly telling their congregations things that salve their consequences and making them feel good! Satan knows a lie can't stand all by itself, so he snuggles some truth up next to it! The hidden message in the above is that "Reflecting Christ's Character" is neither necessary or possible. Isaiah was shown what Last-Day Church Pastors would do and what Last-Day people insist they do! The Lord spoke directly to Isaiah letting him know that what He's was going to tell him is for "The Time to Come." Almost all of Isaiah addresses "Last Day Events." "Now go, write it before them on a table, and note it in a Book, that it may be for a TIME TO COME forever and ever" (Isa. 30:8)! Now let's look at just what the Lord prophesied about Last-Day people.

"We may have to remain here in this world because of insubordination many more years, as did the children of Israel, but for Christ’s sake His people should not add sin to sin by charging God with the consequence of their own wrong course of action" (Evangelism, 695, 696 - 1901). We've now "remained here in this world" 110 more years because of our "insubordination!" Instead of desiring to "Reproduce the Character of Jesus," we want to move the other direction to see how close we can get to reflecting the character of the world!
"Insubordination" and "Blaming God" are exactly what our modern "Smooth Talking Ministers" are doing! They tell us it is impossible for us to "Reflect Christ's Character" because we have such a depraved nature that, even with God's help, we are just too degraded and evil! If we listen to these Ministers they'll tell us that it's not our fault because we were simply born with these un-fixable natures. If it's not our fault we can't be "Fixed," that only leaves God to blame! Following is the remainder of the Quote from "Lasd Day Events."

"For a Witness Unto All Nations" "Overcome as I Overcame"
The above two Scripture Quotes are actually saying the same as the Ellen White Quotes.
"This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached into all the world, for a WITNESS unto all nations, and then shall the end come" (Matt.24:14)!
What did Ellen White say? She said that we could be here on this earth for many more years because of our insubordination!! In other words, if we want Jesus to come, we must reflect the Character of Jesus so that the "All nations can witness the GOSPEL of the Kingdom!" What did Jesus say? He said if we want the "end to come" all nations must "WITNESS" the Gospel in His people! Same thing, just slightly different words!!
Jesus said, "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with Me on My throne, even as (the same as) I overcame and am set with My Father on His throne" (Rev.3:21)! Jesus repeated the words, "to him that overcometh" 8 times in Revelation. Seven times he repeated this to the 7 Churches and then at the close of Revelation, He said, "He that OVERCOMETH shall inherit all things and I will be his God, and he shall be my son" (Rev.21:7)!
So how do we Reflect or Reproduce Christ's Character? Jesus said we do it by "Overcoming even as He overcame!" We could go on and quote literall hundreds of Bible verses saying the same thing Jesus said in these verses, but for those who want their Ministers to "Speak unto us SMOOTH things" (Isa.30:10), it would do no good to quote 1000 Bible verses! So let's just look at what some of our Silver-Tongued Orators are telling us.
What is it Jesus wants us to "Overcome?"
What we are going to reveal next will cause many to declare that we are not telling the truth. However, this author has tape recordings proving it is so.
One minister in the Collegedale area preached a whole sermon on the 7th Church in Revelation; the Church of Laodicea. The main message from Jesus to this Church is that it "Thinks it is rich and increased with goods and in need of nothing, but it is wretched, and miserable and poor and blind and naked" (See Rev.3:17)! This is This 7th Church is an illustration for the Last-Day Church just before Jesus comes. The Laodicean Church is clueless of it's terribly condition and how desperately it needs the "Overcoming" power offered by Jesus. It believes it doesn't need to "Overcome" anything! "Jesus Loves You Just as You are!" The mainline Christian Churches today are stressing that we are under Grace and thus do not need to Law. They say we need not concern ourselves with obeying God's Law! Once we take this position, there's nothing to "Overcome!"
Adventists First 100 Years
For the first 100 years, Adventist stood against this, "No need to Overcome" view among Christian Churches. But that is changing!! The Collegedale Minister we're discussing, spent his entire Sermon going verse by verse through the Laodicean Church. He was trying to show that Adventists need to understand how wrong they've been for the past 100 years! Being one of Collegedale's best Smooth Talkers, he very eloquently explained how the SDA Church have been, "wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked" because they've been trying to live up to an impossible standard. Verse by verse he continued reversing everything Jesus was telling John about Church #7. As I sat there in the congregation, I wondered what this Minister was going to do with the last verse that says, "To him that OVERCOMETH will I grant to sit with Me on My Father's throne." He did EXACTLY what all Spirit of Prophecy Bashers do!! He closed his Bible, announced the closing song, and sat down! He'd spent the entire sermon explaining how Adventist need to "Overcome" their desire to "Overcome!" This kind of circular reasoning is now being preached in a very large portion of Collegedale area Churches.
"You'll Burn in Hell"
Another Collegedale area Minister was transferred from one Collegedale area Church to another. Much to his frustration he had been the Pastor of a Conservative Church for several years. Knowing he had done little to convince anyone from his congregation to join him in his Spirit of Prophecy bashing, he decided that his last sermon would be his last chance to "get his hits in." During his sermon he literally lost his composer and lashed out against the members in the Church that opposed his view that Ellen White was wrong about God's Last Day people "Reproducing the Character of Jesus!" In a literal fit of rage he said that the people promoting this Doctrine would, "Burn in Hell!" Recognizing that he was out of control, he composed himself and apologized to the congregation, but he wasn't sorry, because a year or so later, he established a church in the Collegedale area that's purpose is to continue the movement to remove the Spirit of Prophecy from the SDA Church.

This same Minister is now proclaiming that thousands of Adventist Ministers, Conference Officials, Union Officials, and General Conference Officials throughout Adventism have "Prostituted Themselves" by pretending to believe in the Spirit of Prophecy, when in fact they do not!
We could give literally 100s of examples much like these happening throughout the SDA Church. Do these ministers really believe what they preach, or have they found it to be a good way to make themselves popular. Only God can judge. One thing is certain. Either they are right and we should completely and absolutely reject the Spirit of Prophecy, or they are wrong and we Adventists should remove these ministers from our Churches. Adventists need to pray for God's Spirit so that they can know the Truth.
